As Autumn gathers pace our monthly coffee morning this time was supporting the work the British Heart Foundation undertakes. They play a leading role in the fight against disease of the heart and circulation, so that it is no longer a major cause of disability and premature death. Despite a lower than usual turnout a creditable £100 was still raised.
Once again with the countryside all around us we have gathered to celebrate Gods rich gifts from the land. Mike Crocketts morning service highlighted our struggles with the soil and his personal trials and tribulations with his allotment. The evening service was well attended and the choir and Rob on his drums helped the singing to be a joyous celebration. The Harvest Supper took place the Monday evening and the ever popular quiz was once again a well fought out event. A large quantity of tinned and none perishable goods have been collected and will be delievered to Birmingham Food Bank (click link for more information).
