It turned out to be a lovely bright and sunny day and with the seventieth anniversary of D-Day in the news it was perhaps not surprising that some were discussing this event and its commemorations. However holidays and the open gardens where also hot gossip and a well attended morning saw £122 raised for the Alzheimers Society. Dont forget that this is the same charity that we are going to support again in our forthcoming open gardens weekend on July 12/13th. With good weather booked, our open garden weekend returns this year with lots of lovely gardens to come and see. Teas will be available at both St Giles and Whitacre Methodist Chapel. Tickets are £5 with over 15 gardens included in the price.
Whitacre Congregation is a vibrant mix of young and old who enjoy meeting for Sunday worship. Do come and join us.
