A packed service led by Rev Derek Shaw which started with the very necessary fire precautions. With candles all round as well as along the side tables the service began. The theme of this years service was based on an Action for Children service sheet and each reading was about a different child from the bible. So we had the story of Moses, Samuel, Jesus as well as the shepherds and other traditional readings. The choir sang two special pieces as well as helping us all sing well throughout the service. Even the children helped lead us in "Away in a manger." The service concluded with tea, coffee, mince pies and treats in the schoolroom.
